Restaurant & Lounge Ace the High Pitch Shot By Daniel Miller Golfers of all skill levels can improve their game by mastering the high pitch shot. Here are some tips and tricks to help you achieve maximum height and accuracy on the greens so you can reach new heights in your golf game. Learn how to approach this tricky shot and get ready to ace your next round. The high pitch shot is typically used when you're close to the green and need to get the ball up and over a bunker or other obstacle. It requires precision and finesse, but the benefits of mastering this shot are well worth the effort. Not only will you be able to get out of tricky situations with ease, but you'll land your ball closer to the pin, giving you a better chance to sink your putt. First, realize it's important to have the right club in your hands. A sand wedge or lob wedge is ideal for high pitch shots as they have a higher loft, allowing the ball to get up in the air quickly and land softly on the green. Second, pay attention to your stance and grip. Your feet should be shoulder-width apart, while keeping your hands soft and relaxed, and making a smooth, controlled swing.
