REMINDER: Our June event is June 3 and will be featuring the
wonderful trio of Radio Flyers for those who have reservations.
Please, no drop ins without paid reservations.
Our May gathering featured the always-amazing Jamestown, Sun
Lakes own Sheila and Larry James. As usual, they were absolutely
incredible. Sheila's voice is so powerful she took everyone's breath
away and their harmonies are more fabulous every time I see them.
Her Over the Rainbow tribute to her mother was powerful and
touching at the same time. They ended with Sonny and Cher's e
Beat Goes On which people were humming and singing long after
the singing was done and the eating had commenced. Jamestown is
in its own league. Thank you Sheila and Larry!
Come join or just visit our monthly gathering to socialize, enjoy
a catered meal, first rate entertainment, and a little pampering. It
is for 80 + year olds along with their spouses or significant others
and/or guests (no matter their ages). But you're welcome if you're
close in age as well. We do have people joining before their 80th
birthdays…we don't check your ID. You can attend once without
joining to actually give us a try first. You really do owe it to yourself
to check us out.
The July gathering will be on Sat., July 1 and will feature the
fabulous Fourth of July appropriate patriotic repertoire of Fusion. It
will be at 3 pm in the South Clubhouse so don't forget to get your
checks to Donna Harrington at 5393 Riviera. The deadline for this
July event will be June 25. Please make your checks out to 80s Plus
Club. Dinners are $16 each and our dues are $10 per person per year.
