46 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2023 | Computer Club Our next meeting will be Sept. 14 at 1 pm in the Multipurpose Room. Meetings are on the second Thursday of each month. We are dark for June, July, and August. September's topic will be how to buy a cell phone. Handouts for monthly topics and more info can be found on the Sun Lakes website (sunlakescc.com) under Computer Club. Go to sunlakescc.com, Clubs and Groups, then scroll to Computer Club. The Computer Club is for people of all computer skill levels. Each meeting will feature various presentations. This is a great way to share information and learn some of the ways to become an effective computer user. One way to get information about what's happening here in Sun Lakes is to go to the Sun Lakes website. If you are on Facebook, you can go to the Good Day Sun Lakes page. This is a page for Sun Lakes residents only. Annual dues are $10 dollars per household. Guests are welcome. For information, call Jerry Munnelly at (951) 769-1787. Wine Club We will celebrate summer when we host "Vino on the Veranda" once again on Thurs., June 29 from 5 to 8 pm. The wine tasting will feature a red and a white wine from the Robert Mondavi Private Select Cellars. Participants will receive a boxed supper upon check in. Charcuterie boards of assorted cheeses, crackers, and grapes will also be offered. An assortment of desserts will complete the summer-style picnic supper while attendees enjoy the music of DJ Luis Azarcoya. A no-host bar will also be available. The price for this delightful evening is $48 per person. Seating will be assigned and is limited due to fire department regulations. Seating for the event will be at tables of three, four, and six. Club members who wish to sit together should submit their checks in one envelope. Make checks payable to the Sun Lakes Wine Club and drop them off to Steve von Rajcs, Club Treasurer, at 4883 Copper Creek Drive. The deadline is June 22. Doors to the event will open at 5 pm and service will begin at 5:15 pm. We will also be saying farewell to our President, Karen Clavelot, who had the vision to create the Wine Club and has been the President of the Steering Committee since the club's inception in 2021. We will miss her leadership, but will look forward to her continued support and participation at future Wine Club events. Not a member? Dues for 2023 are only $10 per person. Applications for brand new members are available in the racks located next to the Main Clubhouse Lobby reception desk. It is important to include your email address, if you have one, so we can send you information on club events. Membership applications and checks made payable to the Sun Lakes Wine Club can be dropped off to Club Treasurer, Steve von Rajcs, at 4883 Copper Creek Drive.
