Join us on the Championship Course on Wednesdays for Men's Day! If you play golf often, sign up for one of the 2023 annual membership golf rate options. The 2023 Annual Fees and Application are available in our Pro Shop. Championship Course membership includes play on the Executive Course at no additional charge. Sun Lakes Charity Week begins June 5 and continues through June 11. The week is filled with fun, entertaining events. These events are designed to allow us Sun Lakers to have fun while donating needed money to local Non-Profit Organizations in Banning. This is a worthwhile event and the Men's Club encourages everyone to get involved, have fun, and help our community. As of April 1, all Men's Club Events/Tournaments have an 8 am Shotgun Start through September 2023. Tournament Schedule for June 2023: June 14 – Men's Day Shotgun, Beef & Beer Event, put your team together, and enjoy the golf, and immediately after golf, enjoy a hot dog and beverage with your friends and fellow Club Members. June 17 – US Open Tournament, 4 Man (pick your team), 2 best ball plus Score of US Open Pro. Don't forget to pick up a Men's Golf Club Membership Application Form in the Pro Shop and submit your 2023 Fees. Membership fees for 2023 will remain the same, $76 ($40 for our Men's Club, and $36 to SCGA to maintain a GHIN Handicap). Application and membership fees must have been received before Dec. 31, 2022, to prevent you from being removed from the SCGA GHIN Program. We hosted our first Member- Guest tournament and it was a great success. Congratulations to the first place winners Pete and Kim Peterson and Rod and Lisa Kemp. Second Place winners were Sandy Howell and Sallie Skinner with John and Mary Johnston. Third Place winners were Gary and Sherri Little with the infamous John and Judy Jones. Welcome to Bob Morgan and Margie Heronemus, our newest members. May 7 had the club playing "Criss-Cross" (pick your partner ). This is very social, yet a game that can be posted. Score 2 best net balls of the foursome on each hole. Select the best score of hole #1 Vs. Hole #10, #2 Vs. #11 ETC. Congratulations to the first place winners, Sally Skinner with Sandy Howell and Bob Morgan with John Mursa. Second place winners Jim and Mary Wilkie with Gary Lawson and Ellie Allred. Everyone's a winner when you're outside having fun and enjoying the blessing of good weather and GREAT friends. No couples club golf on May 14 as we honored the amazing mothers among us! Men's Golf Women's Golf The Sun Lakes Women's Golf Club plays 18 holes on the Championship Course every Thursday. Come join us! We are open to all women golfers who live in Sun Lakes. If you would like to "try before you buy" you may play twice with us and see how much fun we have! We play a variety of tournaments throughout the year including a few with the Sun Lakes Men's Club and a member-guest tournament with friends from other clubs. Our monthly meeting and luncheon is on the second Thursday of every month. This is a great way to meet other golfers and get to know the golf community.
