| OHCC LIVING | JUNE 2023 | 9 Spring is a time of renewal and that certainly applies to our Committee. In April, the Master Board approved our recommendation to change the Committee's name from The Community Image & Marketing Committee to The Image & Marketing Committee. We believe this simplification makes it a little easier to remember (IMC) and deletes the redundant "community" label — after all, we are all community-based committees at OHCC. The IMC met on April 26. We discussed our desire to work closely with the Landscape Committee on future landscape plans for the front and back community entrances. We look forward to meeting with them in the near future. We also reviewed and approved cover photos for the next quarter's OHCC Living Magazine. The Committee reviewed exterior design concepts for a proposal to the Golf Course Committee. Additionally, we reviewed a proposal for the Casa restroom interiors that we voted to approve as a recommendation to the Master Board at their May meeting. We will continue to work on enhancing our website (public and private) to elevate the user experience. Other projects on the horizon are: front entry landscape consistency, back gate upgrades, new resident packets and enhancing all resident communications vehicles and marketing communications. The IMC is unique, as it is tasked with ensuring the continued recognition and uniformity of the OHCC brand throughout all uses (i.e., website, marketing materials, resident communications and esthetics). In addition, we are a Committee that works alongside other committees to make observations and advise on logo usage, signage, landscaping improvements, alterations to Community buildings and more. We act as a resource for other committees, clubs, the Master Board and Property Management. We are tasked with being the committee that takes a 360 degree/10,000 ft. overview of the community's image as a whole. We continue to work with clubs and committees at their request. We also work closely with Property Management to enhance and improve our Community image, to ensure consistency of our message and protect home values. Image & Marketing Committee Landscape Work Order Requests Your Master Board Landscape Committee (resident volunteers) works with the Arborist and Landscape Operations Director for matters related to plants and trees, maintained in OHCC Master Common Areas, with the exception of our front yards, which are under the purview of each of our separate villages. If you notice something in the Master Common Areas that you feel requires some attention, please complete a "Work Order Request," which you can print out from the OHCC website or pick up at the HOA office. The completed form can be returned to the HOA office, where Kathy Guzman, our Landscape Operations Director, will make appointments for the members of the Landscape Committee to visit each site. The Landscape Committee visits these sites twice monthly. Sometimes, especially in the springtime, we have so many requests that it may take more than a month for you to see results. As mentioned in a previous article, replacement plants are now more likely to be native or nectar to support the butterflies and other beneficial insects, and are drought-tolerant to reduce the water utilization. The latter will be more of a long-range viewpoint going forward. Most important, know that a procedure is in place to address your concerns or queries so that we respect each other's concerns, queries and responsibilities. Landscape Committee
