After a couple of years of minimal maintenance to the machines
in the computer room, we have had some professional work done
with major upgrades and updates. The PCs all have the latest version
of Windows 10 and the iMacs are running Ventura. They all have
Microsoft Office products and access to Ancestry.com as well as
other useful applications.
There are five PCs and six beautiful iMacs for general use by all
OHCC residents. We've added a couple of iMacs generously donated
by Mike Ackerman and another PC in order to provide more stations
for group sessions like the Genealogy group. They are all more than
six years old so are struggling with the newer operating systems and
software so please be patient.
They all have software which removes everything that was done
on a machine when they are restarted. Please be patient with them
and please RESTART them so they will start back up and be running
for the next user. There is a Restart button on the desktop for your
convenience.
Always restart the computer to ensure your history is erased.
