12 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2023 An introduction to the vision, purpose, and responsibilities of the Facilities Committee: The vision of the Facilities Committee is to ensure that our community is functional, attractive, and well-maintained to provide our residents with the high-quality environment we all desire. Our committee's goal is to develop harmonious relationships with the Board, residents, and FirstService. The Facilities Committee's goals are to identify and prioritize projects and ensure that all buildings, grounds, and community assets are maintained through an ongoing process. The Committee encourages open communication with the community regarding concerns or recommendations. The Facilities Committee membership is made up of residents with prior experience, or interest, in facility management, maintenance, construction, and/or design-related fields. The committee is comprised of Chair, Lila Bonner; Co-Chair, Regina Farmer; Secretary, Deborah Wasbotten; Members, Bob Ferrier, Greg Gall, and Phil Westbrook. Facilities Committee Volunteers Meet the Facilities Committee Volunteers R-L: Bob Ferrier, Lila Bonner, Greg Gall, Deborah Wasbotten, Steve Margulieux, Regina Farmer, and Joe Barletta Not pictured: Phil Westbrook e general responsibilities of the Committee include: • Reviewing and inspecting the Four Seasons community to ascertain that all facilities and common areas are in good order. • Determining areas of deficiencies and providing recommendations. • Collaborating with the Board and Management, to review the work of contractors and vendors regarding scheduling, bids, and performance, throughout the duration of all projects. • Providing recommendations to the Board regarding purchasing, repairing, and/or maintaining community facilities. As members of the Facilities Committee, we enjoy sharing our knowledge, individual expertise, and camaraderie in support of our beautiful community. We value all residents' ideas and welcome full participation in our processes.
