FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2023 39 Most of the month of April found us engrossed in our in-depth study of the Book of Acts in the Bible. For instance, there were three lessons in Acts Chapter 2 alone. We discussed the ascension of Jesus Christ, the replacement of the betrayer, Apostle Judas Iscariot, the permanent coming of the Holy Spirit, and the God-given strength of Peter as he took over leadership of the new church. The Book of Acts is the second volume written by Luke the physician, the first volume being the book in his name. Now that I've caught you up to date as to what we have been studying, perhaps you would like to join us. We meet every Friday from 10:30 to 11:45 am in The Lodge Game Room. You will meet an amazing group of beautiful and godly women who love the Lord and His Word ~ a plethora of potential friends. Think about it ~ you won't be sorry! On June 9, we are scheduled to celebrate our summer party. After our lesson in the Game Room, we will dismiss to the RCN where we will have a nice luncheon, a couple of interactive games (with prizes!), and some great talent sharing. The theme for this event is "Life's a Beach." Want to find out why? Come join us and get the answer. We have so much fun. Hope to see you there! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine, (951) 922-6829 or egcellent@msn.com "Believe…" Women's Bible Study Life After Loss Formerly the Bereavement Group The Life After Loss Group meets on the first and third Mondays of the month from 1 to 3 pm in the RCN Room 3. We are a small group of men and women who have experienced a loss. For some it was a spouse. For others it was a child. Some were caregivers and others never had the chance to say goodbye. We have had to learn to do things that maybe our spouse always took care of. The emotions can be overwhelming. In addition to a death, we are experiencing aging and illness. The changes that occur as we age cause us to do things a little slower and a little more carefully. There are aches and pains that we didn't have before, and these aches and pains last longer than when we were younger. These changes can leave us feeling frustrated and at times depressed. We grieve these changes too. The Life After Loss Group is made up of a diverse group of people with very unique stories to share. We benefit from sharing with one another knowing we are accepted, cared for, and understood. We experience a special bond and take comfort in hearing how different yet similar our stories and journeys are and have been. There is a plethora of knowledge about how some members redefined themselves after their loss and they look forward to sharing their experiences with you.
