FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2023 31
When life doesn't seem fair,
Eat the cookie.
When the roof is leaking and there's water everywhere,
Eat the cookie.
When the toilet overflowed again and you're feeling
the wear and tear,
Eat the cookie.
Kid's messes, laundry piled high, dirty dishes and
you're ready to pull your hair, don't!
Eat the cookie.
You are skipped over for promotion, the bills are piled
high and you want to shout, "it isn't fair."
Eat the cookie.
You stand for truth, kind and generous to all. Weary
you become and believe no one cares. It's time.
Eat the cookie.
When aches and pain are just too much to bear,
Eat the cookie.
When the sunny side of life once more visits you. The
world is right side up again. There's pep in your step.
No one can make you feel guilty for eating the whole
platter of cookies.
May we have a heart of Thanksgiving to our Lord
God Almighty for the gis of family and friends.
Thankfulness for all the wonderful blessings He has
given to us. It's very important that we don't forget to
give thanks for the one who make the cookies.
