SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | JUNE 2023 15 Ladies' Eential Oils Craft By Brad Hyman, Resident Did you know that the Historic Hemet Theatre is the home of one of the most successful live tribute concert series in the Inland Empire, hosting over 100 bands and 40,000 fans since 2013? Did you know that the Theatre also hosts many other community events, including the Historic Heritage Foundation's monthly programs, school graduation and award ceremonies, music and dance recitals, homeowners association meetings, weddings and other private parties, and even a circus on ice? The Historic Hemet Theatre has been at its current location since 1921, and was one of the oldest single screen movie theaters in the country (until the arrival of modern multiplex venues in the 1980s). The Theatre is now owned and operated by a non-profit foundation whose mission is to keep it a vibrant hub for music, art and community events for all of us in the area to enjoy and take advantage of. The dedicated staff is 100 percent volunteer and work hard seven days a week from morning to night to keep it open, clean and fun! The Theatre is always looking for volunteers so please call or stop by for details. The current season of tribute concerts has live shows booked every other Saturday night through August. Tickets are only $25 each and the proceeds go towards the ongoing renovation of this magical 102-year-old facility. These concerts feature the best tribute bands in the country, are always a blast, and there is room for dancing in the auditorium if your heart and feet are so inclined! The theatre's newly restored concession stand is open during events for fresh popcorn, other snacks, soft drinks, beer and wine, all at very reasonable prices. The Theatre lobby/box office is open Monday through Friday from 11 am to 5 pm to purchase tickets, answer questions, or if you just want to stop by to visit and take a quick tour. Volunteers are always happy and proud to talk to you! Tickets can also be purchased during box office hours by phone, or online at www.PurplePass.com. The Historic Hemet Theatre is located at 216 E. Florida Ave., Hemet CA 92545; (951) 658-5950. There is fun in Hemet! Did You Know? There Is Fun In Hemet!
