The dinner meeting and social interaction helps with rekindling old friendships as well as new. The WIT Team gathers once a month in the Ballroom for a dinner meeting. Dinner orders are called into the Bistro between 2 and 4 pm. When they gather at 5 pm, their orders are already being prepared and are ready for delivery to each attendee. We are a support group. This is your invitation to join us and be part of the WIT Team here in Four Seasons. If you have questions regarding WIT, please contact Brenda Beers at (951) 306-6670 or Jeanne Lincoln at (951) 765-7112. May 1 WIT Dinner Meeting This article had to be submitted the first week of May. At that time, the big news was our trip in April to the California Flower Fields (CFF). Our event coordinators, Annie Ward and Janice Record, summarized it well, "Perfect weather, brilliant fields of colored flowers, designated areas for poinsettias in various colors, a theatre showing of the history of CFF, food and ice cream stands, a gift shop and, not to forget, the wagon rides!" Visitors cannot leave the fields and return the same day, and because the food venues are small and menus limited, some groups chose to eat there while others sought out restaurants on the way home. Rusticos seemed to be a favorite spot. As our coordinators said, "It was a perfect day to be with lady friends!" By our April meeting (which was held late in the month), about 20 ladies had signed up for the Assistance League of Hemacinto's annual Fashion Show on May 13. It is one of the organization's major fundraisers. As a prelude to it, we invited Assistance League members Gloria Madrid and Judith Altherton to speak at our April meeting. There, they explained that the money from this event goes to help provide school clothing for elementary and first year middle schoolers (at about $75 per student) and scholarships for men and women at San Jacinto College. Every member of the Assistance League is a volunteer. Ladies Club President Julie Rodriguez worked with Four Seasons Activities Director Tracie Rodgers for an exclusive showing of the film, e Book Club, in The Lodge's Theater on April 25. (Shown at noon, the movie was preceded by lunch in the Bistro.) In May, club members are scheduled to see the sequel: Book Club: e Next Chapter, starring the same principal actors: Candice Bergen, Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, and Mary Steenburgen. They're all going to Italy to see one of their own get married – again. With this zany group, what could go wrong? We continue to grow with new members every month. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Four Seasons Ladies Club, call or text Julie Rodriguez at (951) 821-1970 or Maggie Coleman at (951) 467-0042. FS Ladies Club
