Ladies Putters Hi ladies! Our Ladies Putting Group is back in full swing. Come and try this low impact sport. Just nine holes to play on a Monday at 4 pm and two rounds of nine holes on a Friday at 9 am. You can choose to play one or both days. We use scorecards to make it a little interesting and fun, it takes around 45 minutes. A hole in one will win you a free golf ball, if you don't have a putter, we have extra. For those of you sitting on the fence let us help you get started! Two new ladies joined us this week, Bonnie Makela and Mona Swinehart, pictured at right. Bonnie moved to Four Seasons in 2017 and Mona in 2015. They have been friends for 45 years, went to nursing school together, and both retired from the City of Hope. They both love our community and have been involved in many activities here. They look forward to improving their putting skills. If you have questions please feel that you can call Bonnie Brown at (951) 337-0833 or Elaine Brown at (626) 589-9791. See you at The Courts. The course is behind the gym and pool. ~ Susan Wilson FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2023 61 Our 4x4 Seasons group took advantage of the fact that the U.S. Forest Service opened many of the mountain roads during May. With the record rain and snowfall last winter, the USFS had closed just about all back country roads and trails in our local mountains. Thursday's run took us up into the San Jacinto National Forest where we caught a round trip loop behind the Vista Grande Fire Station. The scenery is beautifully green and lush, the creeks and streams are running and the views spectacular. We had a great morning on the trail and then finished our day at The Red Kettle in Idyllwild for lunch. If this looks enjoyable to you, please join us at one of our meetings or runs. We meet in the RCN Conference Room on the second Tuesday each month at 6:30 pm and plan a day run for the following Thursday.
