Flags went up for Memorial Day and in the next few weeks they will have or will go up for: (1) Flag Day (Four Seasons and World Cup only) on Wednesday, the 14th of June, (2) Juneteenth (throughout the community) on Monday, the 19th of June, and (3) the Fourth of July (throughout the community). e Flag Angels sure are a busy group! Hank Schultz has filled in for the last two flag postings, and it looks as if I will have to lean on him a few more before the end of the year. e substitutes oen jump in on very short notice, and it's nice to be able to count on their help! Save the Date: e Golf Cart Parade will be on the Fourth of July. Golf carts should start to line up at the roundabout in front of e Lodge at 8:30 am (to avoid the heat and to avoid conflicting with the activities that Tracie and the Social Committee are planning for the Fourth later in the day). e parade will start at 9 am and last 40-45 minutes. Hopefully it will not be too hot. Decorate those golf carts with an Americana motif. If you cannot participate in the parade, come out and cheer for the participants. You will be amazed by the golf cart decorations! Tracie will have a map and timing of the parade route at the front desk of e Lodge. Donna McLaughlin and I, Debra and Cecil Frazier, John Schilling, and Stella Torres will be providing "patriotic" donuts and beverages before the parade. As always, I can use additional volunteers to serve as backups to the Flag Angels. At the time of this writing (June 7) – your Four Seasons Players club is passionately immersed in rehearsals of Over e River And rough e Woods – a hilariously heartwarming comedy by Joe DiPietro – directed by our longtime club member, Dick English – to be performed on June 24. We have had fun mixing our cast with veteran performers, as well as first-timers on stage (with speaking roles, anyway). It has been a real bonding experience for us all. And as always, we could never accomplish any of this without our amazing contributors. Stay tuned for the next Herald edition which will feature snapshots captured during the performance and a tribute to all who made the performance happen. And to those out there in the audience – thank you and we hope you enjoyed the play AND our amazing piano man Dave AND the refreshments! Remember: We are always looking for new members or even just curious guests to stop in at our meetings. Club meetings are held the third Friday of each month at 1 pm in the Ballroom. Your interest and inquiries are always welcome. Please call Victoria at (951) 473-3235. Four Seasons Players Let's keep the firecracker and sparklers going.
