But we are "dark" for the summer. at said, we still have monthly Board meetings and other on-going projects for September and onwards. Keep your eyes, ears and email open for details! Sally Benton's Encore Players usually meet Wednesdays at 1 pm in the Mykonos Room. e classes are on hiatus until Sept. 6. Our Party Princess, Ros Nesler, has once again pulled off a fan- TAB-ulous party! anks so very much, Ros. I believe this well- attended party was thoroughly enjoyed by all. e Dowagers, you ask? What could possibly be bad about a great script (thank you, Aleta Barthell), terrific direction (kudos, Trish Moran), talented cast (newbies indicated by an asterisk) [ Joe Ashby (Faltsy), Doug Jones* (Duke Sertitude), Valerie ompson (Isabella), Dee Wardell (Rosalind), Sherrie Scoby (Daphne), Kathleen Higgins* (Mathilde), Ronnie Duberstein* (Simone), Debbie Cea* (Mother Angsious) and Samantha Goldstein* (understudy)]. anks go to the crew [Lois Powazek (producer), Charmayne Huntley* (assistant to producer), Janie Arens (sets/props), Rick atcher (sets), Ekaterina Serova* (props), Michael Cea* (music), Sherri McMurry* (piano)], and generous participation of the A/V Committee Lynn Murphy (lighting), Myrna Weber, Janice Hart, Robert Haguen and Naomi B Katz (audio), Joan Bivin, Jack Schabel and Marty Hurwitz (video)]. So, what could be bad? Nothing! e show was well- performed and well-attended. ank you all for making this a terrific performance. Lisa Malec writes: "… We continue our search for new, different, and exciting talent, we are asking all of our members to join in the fun! If you have seen any type of event in San Diego County that would be entertaining for our members, send us the info! We want to find new vocalists, orchestras, singing groups, dance groups, theater groups and actors. We want to find new and different comedians (male and female), storytellers, and magicians. If you want to recommend an artist, performer or group, please send an email to Lisa (lmalec@envdev.com). We look forward to seeing you the first Monday in September!" We have created a new procedure for access to eatre Arts' props and costumes. e front desk is not allowed to loan out the keys to the Palace. Instead, a request must be made to a Board member, who will accompany the requester at all times. Our next regular Board meeting will be held July 19, at 11 am, in a room to be assigned. Regular Board meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month at 11 am, and are open to all eatre Arts members, so please do come and join us. Join eatre Arts so you can participate in all of our entertainment and activities. Our annual dues are $12. Make your check payable to "OH eatre Arts" and bring it to the front desk.
