26 | OHCC LIVING | JULY 2023 | Music Lovers e Music Lovers Club has enjoyed great feedback from many in our community and we thank these special individuals for their kindness, appreciation and support. Carol and Barry Farrell, you and your chair yoga group are a joy to behold, especially when gathered by the waterwall, enjoying Monday performances while awaiting your entry to Abravanel! Lisa Wise, we love it when you tell us that our music relaxes you, and how much you enjoy Mondays. We've made it to our half year mark as a new club and still continue to grow, with people like you spreading the word to others, and those others liking what they hear. Keep those good vibes coming as it provides us great motivation to continue the work of bringing more music to OHCC! July is such a great month here in SoCal. "Summertime, and the livin' is easy!" May-gray and June-gloom are finally a thing of the past. Long days with glorious sunsets are a thing of beauty, whether enjoyed at a nearby beach or high atop inspiration point! It's also a time of summer concerts, parades, fairs, and festivals. Please get out and enjoy some of these sounds of summer. Our club enjoyed a delightful orchestra comprised of master musicians performing the 2023 "Mainly Mozart" concert series now in it's 35th year. On June 15 the natural surround-sound was nothing less than majestic in DelMar. Our upcoming outings are headed for less formal venues, (but beautiful music none-the-less), in Carlsbad, Vista and San Marcos. ese Friday concerts are an amazing way to enjoy music outdoors, with friends, at an amazing price… free! Over a dozen of our members entertained us with Country-Hit Karaoke and (cow)-Boy, was it fun! Our "Be our guest!" invitational was the perfect way to have others enjoy our meeting festivities.
