| LIFE IN SOLERA | JULY 2023 | 31 This group is made up of generally men, but women are always welcome. Our focus is on conversation and friendship. We meet every Wednesday in the Clubhouse between 8 and 9 am in the Arts & Crafts Room. It is typically a group of 10 to 20 people. We are led by a facilitator who ensures that everyone will have the opportunity to talk and encourages conversation. We have very interesting and diverse conversations. There are countless benefits you'll enjoy by joining this group, and they can vary from person to person. For more information about The Coffee Group, please contact George Vawter at (909) 253-3318 or via email hbwisenheimer1@yahoo.com. Come and check us out, and feel free to bring your favorite coffee mug! COFFEE GROUP June saw Solera Sippers enjoy one of the perks of membership. We got together and had wonderful fellowship while some of us played bocce ball. What made the event extra nice was that the dinner boxes of Raisin' Cane's chicken were free! We try and do a "free" event (for members only) once a year. July's get together is one of our popular annual events. We will be doing a "Progressive Wine Tasting." This year, we will be "traveling" to Spain, France, and Italy, all within the comforts of the Oakmont rooms. Members bring wine from those regions, along with hors d'oeuvres to complement the wines. This event has a limited capacity, so be sure to sign up early once the flyer comes out! August will be a Happy Hour event with some surprise trivia. It will be a relaxed, fun evening. We have other great events for later in the year that we'll share with you in future issues of Life in Solera. You'll miss out on some seriously fun things if you're not a member. While we ARE a wine club, our club is open to anyone – whether you drink wine or not. Many members bring their own alternative adult beverages, and several don't even drink adult beverages. They all just want to be part of the fun and fellowship. Wine fun fact: the five top wine producing countries are France, Italy, Spain, the United States, and China. China is the leading market for red wines surprisingly. It's not only because of the flavor, but the red color is considered lucky in Chinese culture. Membership is required if you are a Solera resident. For membership or other information, please contact Gary Stoh at (951) 845-1981 or garymstoh@aol.com. SOLERA SIPPERS
