Sunshine's nonagenarian birthday party in June was an overwhelming success. e Ballroom overflowed with praise, love, and admiration for the honorees. is crop of elders produced two war heroes, two currently active seniors, two authors, five engineers, three marriages topping 60 years as well as six supportive spouses who raised successful families. Congratulations! Pictured Honorees: Anne Balensiefer, Del Brand, Dick Burnside, Chuck Forsyth, Josephine Griffin, Mary Halton, Phil Ham, Garth Hess, Billie Hibbard, Jeanne Jonas, Don Krampe, Woody Lane, Anthony Lenore, Dick Polito, E.J. Spina, Mark and Patricia Whitworth, and Lis Woelke. Five honorees were unable to attend: Barbara Decker, Dot Lampe, Earl Evans, Harold Rowden and Annette Smith. Sunshine's Kindness Award for June was presented to Karen Sebzeda. Karen has utilized her creative talents constructing unique homemade cards, many of which she has contributed to Team Sunshine's card crew. Mailed out to our residents in need, they serve a worthwhile purpose. ank you, Karen, for your kind efforts. ere have been no recent celebrations of life although Sunshine has been notified of the passing of John Bailey and Rita Albert. We extend our sincere condolences to their family members. If you have a neighbor or friend here in our community, who is experiencing sadness, loss, or illness, please let Team Sunshine know.
