| OHCC LIVING | AUGUST 2023 | 5 Golf Course Renovation Report Golf Course: Jon Cancel and crew are continuing to work on the stub outs for our landscaped areas on the course. He has done about 12 out of 25 at this point and will soon be finished on the front 9. e area from #4 to LVW is now all completed, and we are irrigating that area to the back gate. We have had some reports that some of the tee boxes are too hard to insert the tees into the ground. OCLM will bring back the big tractor the week of July 10 to aerifi the tees again. at should ameliorate the hardness problem. e course is getting about twice the water we had last year so it is not lack of water that caused the hardness. Lake: Bristlecone Engineering has finished their topographical survey and will now do the design work for the lake and for the excavator. at will take about six weeks, so we should be able to submit the lake permit to the city in early September. Part of this design will be to ensure that we will not have any export/import of any soil during the construction of the lake. We are also trying to accommodate about 200 yards of soil from the excavation of the footings for the Lanai. All of that soil from both sources will be spread around the lake. Electrical: Berg Electric submitted their permit to the city on the 29th of June with all the reports requested. ey will have their permit before PAQ has the lake permit. We will go ahead with the electrical as soon as their permit is granted. If Berg gets to the top of the fill at Delos before PAQ has constructed the concrete pad for the connection of all the pumps and switchgear, Berg will terminate the connection at that point, and complete the connection when the lake is completed. ings are moving along well now that we have good contractors. e switchgear was the big long lead time item, which was 46 weeks at one point. However, we brought that lead time down by dealing with all local suppliers who were OEM suppliers to our original vendors. e culmination of that effort resulted in our already receiving delivery on the switchgear items. ey are here now, and we are warehousing them at Berg Electric. We don't have to worry that it will hold up the project. By Don Lopez, Golf Course Renovation Committee Chairman
