Fall Rally Number 1 to Golden Village Palms in Hemet, is right around the corner, Sept. 24 - 29. Barb Reed and Randy Miller are the trail bosses. The first committee meeting was held in June and we had a good showing of volunteers, and each have taken on the responsibilities for different projects associated with the trip. Dennis and Lillie Sims will handle the games, Steve and Sally Joe Schwartz are tackling the golfing expeditions, Robin Pay and Lyn Schive are working on the various events that require snacks and food, such as first night get together, award night and day. Robin and Lyn are also going to be looking at the various opportunities outside of the campground for fun activities to enjoy. New Sun Lakes RV Club jackets and shirts will be on display to purchase at a later date. Sign up information will be coming soon. We are currently working on pricing for Welcome Night, Game Day Awards Night and Golfing, so rally pricing can be determined. This rally should be a fun one, close to home, lots of activities, and even though it is Hemet, the campground is awesome! Fall Rally Number 2 to Emerald Desert in Palm Desert, Nov. 26 - Dec. 1. Bonnie Aulwes and Gary Balcom are Trail Bosses. Volunteers will be needed to organize this Rally. Dec. 10 from 5 to 8 pm will be The RV Club Christmas Party at the South Clubhouse. Sandi and Richard Fetterman have volunteered to organize this but will need volunteers to help. Looking forward to 2024, our Home Rally with be at the South Clubhouse Sat., Jan. 20 from 1 to 8 pm and Sun., Jan. 21 from 11 am to 8 pm. Volunteers to organize this are needed. Spring Rally is penciled in at Bounder Creek in Lone Pine for April 28 - May 3, 2024. These dates are firm, but the location is still being discussed. Trail bosses are needed. The 2024 Fall Rally is planned for Zion National Park, Sept. 22 - 27. Trail Bosses are needed. Several members are looking at making this a long term rally. Discussion of three to four weeks before Zion are in the planning stages, with Cody, Wyoming being a "for sure location." More info to follow. August is a very special month, with 14 RV Club members having birthdays. That's more than any other month of the year.
