4 | LIFE IN SOLERA | AUGUST 2023 | Communications & Technology Advisory Committee (CTAC) The Solera Board of Directors wants input from its members and encourages them to attend regular monthly Open Session Board Meetings where they are given the opportunity to share their concerns or comments. At the same time, it is understood that there are members who cannot attend meetings due to various time conflicts. For that reason, the Communications & Technology Advisory Committee (CTAC) has recommended that audio/visual improvements be made in the Oakmont Rooms so Board Meetings and other similar meetings can be broadcast to members via Zoom or another similar application. The Board approved that recommendation and we are currently getting proposals from companies to make those improvements. In addition, for those who cannot attend Board Meetings, there are currently mechanisms in place where they can have their suggestions, concerns or other comments be heard: eBlast Board Meeting Announcements – If you are a member signed up to receive eBlasts from Management, you will receive an eBlast alerting you to up coming Board Meetings. (See below for instruction on how to participate in the "eBlast system".) At the bottom of that message there are two links that you can "click on" (see form at left). "Click for Agenda" will take you to the copy of the agenda for that meeting. If you see something on that agenda that you would like to comment on, then you can "click on" "Request to Speak" and you will be taken to a form that you can complete (see form below). Once completed and emailed to the General Manager, that information will be read at the Open Session Board meeting (if appropriate) and YOU WILL BE HEARD! Message to Management – Members can also go to the Solera website (www. SoleraOVG.com) and view the Open Session agenda which is posted on the Friday before the meeting (which is normally scheduled for the following Wednesday). They can then use the "Message to Management" feature on the website (click on the "Management" link and then the "Message to Management link") to send any comments that they may have on agenda items. If you want your comments to be read and/or included in the Board Meeting, it is important for you to so indicate in your message. Written Request – If you aren't able to use the processes indicated above, you can also simply provide a written request to the admin office and, if appropriate, your comment will be included in the meeting. If you WANT TO BE HEARD on Board Meeting agenda items, you are encouraged to use one of the methods listed above. WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.
