| LIFE IN SOLERA | AUGUST 2023 | 5 I want to thank all the volunteers who have served on our Advisory and Standing Committees during the past fiscal year. They were honored at a Volunteer Luncheon on July 20. The volunteers attend meetings monthly to assist the Board in various areas: Finance, Landscape, Decorating, Recreation, Design Review, Communication and Technology, Nominating, and Welcoming new residents. These committees have many responsibilities in keeping Solera a great place to reside. August is here, which means summer is in full force. Many residents take vacations, hopefully to cooler places, and other residents have friends and family who come here to visit. With this being said, it is important that we all understand the Community Rules regarding use of the Fitness Center and the pool area. • Fitness Center: Use of the community Fitness Center is limited to Residents only. •Pool and Spa: Use of the community pool is limited to Residents and their guests. Each household may host a maximum of six guests at any given time. The resident must always be present inside the fenced pool and spa area with their guests. Your guests must be at least 16 years old to use the spa. Swimming suits are required. Incontinent persons, of any age, are not allowed in the pool or spa. Swim diapers of any kind or size, are not allowed to be worn in the pool or spa. Guests under the age of 16 may only be in the pool and spa area between the times of 10 am and 2 pm. Please read the rules posted in the pool area for all of the rules and remember there is no lifeguard on duty at any time. If you have guests who enjoy playing billiards, if they are at least 14 years old they may use the billiards tables. You must accompany them while playing. Please remember, our Community Rules are for the protection and safety of all residents in Solera and our common areas. We encourage guests to visit, while respecting our rules and properties. The Welcome Book contains a list of the Community Parks in Beaumont, which is from the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce. If you do not have a Welcome Book and you would like a list, you may email me at mac-extra@msn.com, and I will send you a copy. Thank you for reading our articles and enjoy the rest of the summer. ~ Marcia Casem, Chairperson, New Resident Welcome Advisory Committee Welcome Committee
