36 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2023 Amphitheater Hey man! Put on your bell bottoms, get in your VW bus, and head to the Amphitheater because it is going to be "Woodstock West" on Sunday, Aug. 13. Even if you didn't attend the original or see the movie, our band for the evening is going to bring it all back. The Woodstock Tribute band has a unique theme that will take us all back to 1969 when the counter-culture music was at its peak. The band will feature huge acts from that special festival including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, Canned Heat, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Crosby, Stills and Nash. We will be having some special activities to make this evening unforgettable. There will be a 60s costume contest with a prize for the best costume. We will have a big screen set up so we can show off our pictures of when we were all young and crazy. Please send pictures to Cindy Graves at The Lodge, cindy.graves@fsresidential. com (the more the better). Mike at the Bistro will have his team out with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies, and margarita mix for sale. Chairs can be set-up anytime after The Lodge opens on Sunday morning. Please no blankets as placeholders. It's the "Summer of Love" so be kind to each other. Glass bottles should be in a cover. So let's make it the "Dawning of the Age of Aquarius" at Four Seasons and get our friends and neighbors to come down and enjoy the fun at the Amphitheater. The concert starts at 7 pm. See you there, groovy people. ~ Mark Lassen, lassenqa@aol.com Our next meeting will be in The Lodge Game Room on Monday, Aug. 14 at 6 pm. Everyone is welcome to a club meeting to socialize, enjoy some snacks, and meet new residents. Besides general business, our President Pat Wayne usually has something fun planned with audience participation. We continue to grow as a club, offering free entertainment to our Four Seasons community with various shows throughout the year. We will be presenting two Old Time Radio Shows on Saturday, Aug. 26 in The Lodge Ballroom: Gunsmoke and a Burns and Allen Comedy. This show is directed by Tom Wasco. Mark your calendar to attend and witness both drama and comedy from your fellow residents. The cast is a hard working group and would enjoy your support. Tickets will be available at no charge Aug. 7. Our next event is the hugely successful second rendition of Name that Tune to be in The Lodge Ballroom on Friday, Sept. 22 at 6 pm. So again, circle this date for this fun time. Karen Belcher will reprise her wonderful performance as the director, producer, and event coordinator for the evening. The theme is "Rock and Roll" so get your thinking hats on.
