FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2023 45 The Four Seasons Rainbow Group continues in our mission to support the local residents who identify as LGBTQ+ and anyone else interested in our community. We usually meet on the fourth Thursday of the month in the Ballroom. We introduce new members, share stories or news that might be of interest to the membership, occasionally hold potlucks, and host themed movie nights. We will gladly entertain ideas from anyone. Lastly, if you haven't already joined our Four Seasons Beaumont Rainbow Facebook group, please do so. Both avenues will keep you updated on any late-breaking developments, events, and details of our monthly activity. ~ David Esquerre Rainbow Group Travel Group There is no regular meeting in August; however, we are taking a tour of Hollywood! On Friday, Aug. 18, the Travel Group will be hosting a Welcome to Hollywood party in The Lodge Ballroom. We will start the evening off with a wonderful dinner by Thomas Catering (and of course you may BYOB). After dinner, your host will be none other than Groucho Marx and he has some surprises in store for all of us. We also have very talented singers to entertain you. Come dressed as your favorite movie or TV star and just maybe you will win a prize. Come out and have some fun in Hollywood. Doors will open at 4:45 pm. Tickets are $50 each. Looking forward to seeing you all there. This event, as well as all travel group functions, are open to everyone. Bev Haller from Mon Ami Travel informed us that by the end of June, all cabins for the cruise in October have been sold out. It was wonderful that Celebrity Cruises and Jeff Geston gave our travel group all those exclusive discounts. Thank you Bev, Jeff, and Celebrity Cruises. We have had some wonderful speakers this year and do plan on having more so don't miss your chance to find the right trip for you.
