Newbies
Newbies is the official welcoming group for Ocean Hills Country
Club residents (homeowners and renters). We have quarterly
gatherings where new and established residents can meet, mingle,
talk, and get to know each other. e gatherings are loosely
structured and provide new residents an opportunity to introduce
themselves. Club representatives will be available to promote
their clubs. Our goal is to have you walk away with new friends
and a feeling of community. is group is for residents only and
is not open to guests.
ere are many activities available at OHCC and
you can participate as much or as little as you choose.
Golf or swim in the morning, volunteer on a Board or
committee in the aernoon, and dance, play cards, or
even join Bingo in the evenings. OHCC offers about 40
official clubs and many other special interest groups,
and activities galore. ere is something for everyone.
e Newbies' next gathering is on Sept. 16 from 5 to
7 pm in the Palm Court. A poster Board is on display
in the Clubhouse and there are flyers in the literature
rack to take with you. Please RSVP and bring an
appetizer, salad, or other potluck dish to serve eight
to 10 people. Please do not bring dessert items as
Newbies will provide a special cake. We will give a gi
to the newest homeowner (defined by when they spent
their first night in their new home) and to the homeowner who
moved to OHCC from the farthest away. Please note, renters are
encouraged to attend but only homeowners are eligible for a gi.
