e IMC has begun conducting new resident focus groups to ascertain their interests and views on our community. In addition to getting input from our newer residents, we are seeking information on our resident's previous work experience and areas of expertise in order to continue to "mine the gold" in our community. In the past few years, we have seen the value of using our own residents as "consultants" on various projects rather than looking outside. Aer all, we have a vested interest in our community. In July, we chose new tile samples for the proposed Casa Restroom remodel project. (Examples of wall and floor tile are shown here.) A Voting Booth Survey (online) was conducted for two weeks. Samples were also available to view in the Clubhouse Galleria and comment cards were provided. Aer compiling the input, we have a strong percentage in favor of the proposed tile. at recommendation has now been sent to the Golf Course Committee who is overseeing the Casa renovation project. We wish to thank all the residents who participated. At the July Master Board meeting, the IMC recommended new holiday decor for 2023. e Master Board approved our proposal to add more trees and lights throughout the Clubhouse to create a more "winter wonderland" feeling. We believe this will make our Clubhouse truly festive during the month of December. In addition to working with clubs and committees upon request, we also work closely with Property Management to enhance and improve our Community image to ensure consistency of our message and protect home values. All landscaping other than your front and back yards is under the auspices of your Landscape Committee, an arm of the Master Board. e areas are known as the common areas. e gardeners for the Master common areas are employed by the O'Connell Landscape Maintenance Company (OCLM). If you should see a gardener working in or on the Master common area, please don't ask him/her to do other work or otherwise interfere with his prescribed duties as their work has been closely scheduled by the supervisor and must be completed in a timely manner. If you feel that additional work is needed, please complete a work- order which is available at the HOA or online. All Master Board landscaping maintenance is scheduled to be done on a six-week rotational basis, which means that if the landscaping behind your house was tended to six weeks ago, then you should expect the landscape gardeners to be there again this week. However, due to various reasons, including resident interference, the rotation is currently two weeks behind schedule. e Master Landscape Committee, the Operations Director and OCLM all have maintenance as a top priority We know that all OHCC residents are in favor of keeping our lush grounds as well maintained as possible. In other words we all want the same outcome for our beautiful environment. Landscape Committee Please Do Not Disturb The Gardeners!
