Pet Lovers Club president, Ellen Kippel, reports that we had a very successful PLC
Annual Brunch on Sat., Aug. 5. e food was great and there was plenty of it. We missed
the members who could not attend.
Our guests were volunteer foster families from the Frosted Faces Foundation who
brought six small, incredibly sweet foster dogs - all available for adoption - that stole the
day. During the presentation, we learned of some of the unusual services offered by this
foundation, including
• ey ENCOURAGE adoptions by senior people. (Some organizations are reluctant
to adopt to seniors.)
• All the dogs are in foster homes, and descriptions are available for each dog's
temperament and needs.
• ere is NO FEE to adopt from FF
• ey provide FREE lifetime veterinary and dental care for each adopted dog
• ey provide free support to owners on training, food, behavior, and other questions.
• If you adopt a dog from FF and cannot keep it for any reason - including your loss of
health or death - they will take the dog back at no cost and find her a new home.
• If you have a dog not from FF, want a safe place for your pup because of your health
problems, and worry about her future, FF will accept your dog and go through the
process of making her an FF dog for fostering or adoption for a fee of $2,000.
To learn more about Frosted Faces and to check out available dogs, go to www.
frostedfaces.org and look up their available dogs.
Ellen writes to OHCC residents: "From the PLC Board, thank you for your support of
our club and our programs."
