| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | SEPTEMBER 2023 | 31 REMINDER: Our September event will be Sept. 2, featuring music by Generations for those who already have a reservation. We have a gathering once a month which includes a catered meal, some first-rate entertainment, some great social time, and volunteers on hand to pamper you. Originally designed for those over 80, we have always included guests under 80 and our average age has gotten younger over the years. You're welcome to come, whatever the age, as we don't check your ID. We've been able to keep our prices down to $16 per person. However, for the months of November and December when we have our holiday dinners, prices must go to $20. Our events begin at 3 pm celebrating birthdays and new additions to our group, any announcements, then entertainment and meals begin before 4 pm. Our attendance each month is very close to the capacity at the South Clubhouse and it makes for a very festive and interactive group. Come join us once to see if you might enjoy our group and, if you do, join our club the second time you attend. Our dues are $10 a year. We will have no event in October due to scheduling conflicts with the room but will be back Nov. 4 with the very popular duo of Lisa and Lori. Our November and December prices are $20 so get your checks for $20 per person to Donna Harrington at 5393 Riviera for your reservations before Sept. 29. This will be for the full Thanksgiving dinner so sign up early. If sold out, we will remove the payment box and you'll see a note advising sold out. We're always at the South Clubhouse and people begin arriving at 2:30 pm to check in and get their seats; the program starts at 3 pm. Please make your checks out to 80s Plus Club. For more information about our club, please feel free to contact either Diane Aarhus at (951) 797-3676 or Donna Harrington at (909) 561-5066. 80s Plus Club Country Western Dance Please be advised that there has been no change in the decision to suspend the activities of the Club. There are no line dance lessons and no dance parties. Over the past three years, there has been a large decline in membership for many reasons — some lost interest after Covid, while others were unable to continue, and not enough new people joined to support Club activities.
