The multi- talented Renee Rojanaro will be out on the Veranda performing at "her favorite place." MUSIC UNDER THE STARS & WEEKEND ENTERTAINMENT ON THE VERANDA The Recreation Department hosts these evenings of wonderful music where the band will set up outside the Veranda and you can bring your carts onto the driving range, allowing you to set up some tables and chairs and have a great time with your fellow neighbors. We hope you join us as we dance the night away. Please remember, it's first come, first served seating and no outside alcohol or food can be consumed on the Veranda. Sundaes will be $3 for three scoops of ice cream and your choice of a plethora of fixings. SUNDAY CONCERT SERIES Sun., Sept. 17, 2 pm, doors open at 1:30 pm, $15 pp. A fun stylized jazz fusion horn band- enjoy their variety of fun jazz and playing a variety of music from all eras for listening and dancing featuring Gickey & the Monsters. Tickets are on sale now. Tickets are $15 per person. COMEDY NIGHT Fri., Sept. 15, 7 pm, Ballroom, $15 pp. Enjoy an evening of laughs featuring Mary Gallagher, who has guest starred on Friends and performed on the Stephen Colbert Show. Matt Kirshen has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and e Late Late Show. Omar Covarrubias is a regular at the House Of Blues and MGM in Vegas. All these amazing comedians are guaranteed to make you laugh. This show is produced by Jason Love, one of today's hardest- working comedians, appearing on HBO and America's Got Talent. Sadly, Jason will not host this time. Tickets are on sale now. Sat., Sept. 23 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 1 to 4 pm. The Recreation Department is proud to continue its yearly tradition of Activities Day. Each year all the active clubs, groups, and recreation activities (or events) get together to show you what Sun Lakes has to offer. Want to join a new club? Want to know exactly what the Young at Heart Club is all about? Want to learn how to play 8-ball or bocce? How about trying your hand at acting? This is the event for you. It is also the perfect time to learn more about the various advisory committees - most committees will be on the look-out for new members this fall, and you can pick-up a volunteer interest form.
