FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2023 33 Finance Committee Facilities Committee It is that time of year when we start preparing our budget. The committee needs to determine what it will cost us to run the Four Seasons HOA in 2024. This is a complicated process, and we welcome your input on anything you want to see the community do in the future. Communication is helpful and welcomed. During the Finance Committee's regular monthly meeting, the financial statements for June 2023 were reviewed and recommended for Board approval. In addition, the Committee reviewed expenditure proposals, and reviewed investment recommendations to move maturing investments to higher yield FDIC insured instruments. Highlights of the April financial statements are: Total Cash is $12,370,201 including operating cash of $2,345,576 (checking and CDs) and reserve assets of $10,024,625. Our total year-to-date income is $161,440. Homeowners are welcome to join us at the Finance Committee's regularly scheduled monthly meetings held on the last Tuesday of each month. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 1 pm. The Finance Committee reviews and discusses many issues that you may have questions about, and we welcome those questions. I would encourage all residents to become more familiar with the finances of our fantastic community. We would love to hear about your concerns and encourage you to share them with us. Attending a meeting only takes a little time and will give you a better understanding of how we operate. Come and join us in making this a thriving vibrant community. Autumn will soon be upon us. Take time to embrace the brisk mornings and let Mother Nature saturate your heart with her ever-changing colors of beauty. The Facilities Committee has received approval from the Board of Directors to purchase new televisions for both the Billiards and Game Rooms. Also approved were new card tables for the Activity Club and several new large round tables for the Ballroom. To uphold our mission of preserving and enhancing our community, the Facilities Committee, in the form of sub-committees, will be out this month to do our quarterly review and monitoring of all areas within our purview. We will see you out there! The Facilities Committee meets the second Wednesday of each month at 9 am in the RCN Conference Room. The Social Committee is excited and ready to come back with some great impersonators on Saturday, Sept. 16 in The Lodge Ballroom. Doors open at 5:30 and the show starts at 6 pm. This show will feature spot-on tributes to Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra. DJ Dave's dance hour will be from end of show to 10 pm so bring your dancing shoes. Tickets are on sale for $25 per person and are non-refundable. Order your dinner from the Bistro to enjoy at the tables (no assigned seating). BYOB encouraged. We will have coffee, water and some sort of sweets. Table seating/no assigned seating. Please bring extra cash for our raffle prizes to support our fundraisers for future events.
