The Crown Divas July event was High Tea held at The Lodge. We invited
guests to join us for this elegant affair. As the guests walked into the room
with their pretty hats and fancy attire, you could feel the excitement. They
were escorted to their beautifully decorated tables adorned with pretty pink
floral arrangements, pink placemats, white table cloths, and colorful tea
cups. We were entertained by Jeanette "Lady Violet" who read a chapter to
us from a book called If Tea Cups Could Talk. Then Mary "Diva Merry" lead
us in a cute little Teacup song.
There were vendors selling crafts, paintings, and preserves. Lucky ticket
holders won gourmet baskets. It was a busy day where old friends were
reacquainted. Vendors sold their merchandise. Prizes were won. We had
entertainment and a hat contest. The contestants walked around showing
their pretty hats — some with a wide floppy brim, others smaller with
ribbons and flowers. Any of them could have been a winner. I'm glad I wasn't
a judge! A winner was picked and she won a lovely gift. Who said High Tea
