It's been awhile since I wrote an article and after this one, there won't be
another for a while, reason being it has been decided to cancel our horseshoe
play during the months of August and possibly September due to the extreme
heat and concern for everyone's health and wellness. I did however want
to announce the winners of our July tournaments along with associated
pictures of the proud winners. The winners of our doubles tournament were:
First Place Team – Harry Henderson and Paul Plamondon with Second Place
going to Dave Roldan and Lee Bourdet. For our Singles Tournament: First
place went to Harry Henderson and Second Place went to Hank Negrette.
Congratulations gentlemen.
So we'll resume play in cooler weather. Everyone have a great summer. Our

Horseshoe Club
Bocce Club
Summer is in full swing with our Bocce Group.
With an 8 am start time we are done by 9:30 am
before the weather warms. Umbrellas help give us
some shade. Despite the heat we have been getting
a good turnout for play.
We play on Tuesdays and Fridays at 8 am. Bocce ball requires no
specific skill or previous experience. You will get a little exercise and
enjoy a beautiful view and breezes at the Summit,
all while having a great time with a great group of
people.
