FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2023 9 From the Activities Director By Cindy Graves Oh my goodness! It's fabulous fall already! I just can't believe how fast the months are flying by. This month is going to be another fun one starting with the next Loggia Concert Dance Party, featuring the rad Rock 'n Roll sounds of RedFish. This band is made up of some of your favorite musical residents: "Stan-The-Man" Sweeney, Raul Baustista, Scott Mulligan, and John Wagner. Come down and join us on Saturday, Sept. 9. The Bistro will be offering a special buffet to go along with the whole special evening. The buffet will start at 5:30 pm and the concert dance party will start at 7 pm. There are no tickets required for the concert/dance, but keep your eye on the Daily Report, because the Bistro may want to do pre- sale buffet tickets with a discount for purchasing ahead. If we have inclement weather, we will move it into the Ballroom, so plan on attending regardless of the weather. Speaking of talented residents, have you seen the amazing artists we have living here? If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing the latest works of art from these residents, please come by The Lodge Lobby between Sept. 9 and Sept. 17. I think you'll be blown away at the unbelievable creativity! This art show will showcase the students in Rob Kelman's Mixed Media Art class. If you haven't picked up your tickets for the Social Committee's Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra Show, you better hurry. These tickets won't last long. Once again, they received approval for DJ Dave to keep the crowd going with dancing after the show. You'll have music in your bones from the great show, so you might as well have an outlet afterwards. Sept. 17 is the Amphitheater Concert Series Grand Finale and what a show this will be with the U2 Experience band. This is going to be another outstanding show and you will love it. Thank you to the Bistro for cooking up more hamburgers and hot dogs for us to finish this show and thanks to all of you for being so great with lawn chair set-up this entire season. This proves once again that 99 percent of our residents are incredibly thoughtful, considerate, and rule-abiding. You guys don't need any more lawn-chair- police from now on. Thanks for being you! Sept. 22 will be another "Musical Name that Tune" with Karen Belcher. This event is free to you in The Lodge Ballroom starting at 6 pm. Everyone is welcome and you are encouraged to bring in your dinners and favorite beverages. This was a real hit last time so why not check it out? Sept. 23 at 5:30 pm is Karaoke in The Lodge Ballroom. Everyone has really been loving the more intimate set-up and attendees have been so encouraging and attentive to those performing. Come with a song and impress your neighbors. There is no fee to attend. Finally, the HOA Fall Crafts Fair is on Saturday, Sept. 30. It will open at 9 am in The Lodge Ballroom and go until 2 pm. What a great way to pick your unique, handcrafted autumn decorations as well as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Hanukkah gifts. I love giving gifts that no one else can give my family and friends. Have a great September and if we're lucky, it'll cool down a bit!
