Pictured with me (I'm second from the right) are key arts education leaders from around the state. I loved this role as Director of Create CA and still am involved in consulting with Riverside County Office of Ed on their arts education plan. ~ Pat Wayne Pastor James and Mrs. Seim (Bertsy) on Roundup Sunday Mrs. Seim, Kindergarten teacher, on Storybook Day I was the Office Administrator for an underground utilities company, Patriot Pipeline, Inc. ~ Christi Mason I retired from Loma Linda University Medical Center in 2009 as Founder and Director of the LLUMC Immunology Center. My job as a Transplant Immunologist was incredibly gratifying allowing me to be part of a team creating organ and stem cell transplant surgical procedures that has saved many thousands of lives. At LLUMC, I practiced and taught organ and cell transplant immunology to doctors and students from around the world. In 1984, LLUMC made international news with the groundbreaking Baby Fae, Baboon infant heart transplant. Since then, hundreds of hospitals have transplanted hearts in thousands of babies, saving their lives. is photograph was taken of Dr. Leonard Bailey, the famous cardiac transplant surgeon, Baby Fae, and me. I very much appreciate the opportunity to share this photograph, the marvelous beginning of a life-changing procedure, with my Four Seasons' neighbors. ~ Dr. Sandra Nehlsen-Cannarella
