FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2023 65 We finally had our second quarterly tournament. We had a great turnout and some very competitive matches. First place went to Butch Bonot and Lee Bourdet. Second place went to Ron Erickson and Gary Condurachi. A special thanks to Bob Semler and Dave Thomason for running the tournament. Great job gentlemen! We meet Tuesdays from 11 am to 1 pm and 1 to 3 pm. We always welcome new players to join our group. If interested, call Paul Snyder (909) 214- 9464. ~ Donna Hendzel Billiards for Fun Your 8-Ball Club continues the season with lots of practice and tournaments. Just a reminder: the club practices or plays tournaments on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:30 to 9 pm. We hold a Club meeting on the first Wednesday of each month, an 8-Ball tournament on the second Wednesday of the month, and a 9-Ball tournament on the fourth Wednesday of the month. For off-site tournaments, note these addresses: Solera Oak Valley (1615 Fairway Dr., Beaumont); Solera Diamond Valley (1645 Paseo Diamante, Hemet). If you're new to the game or have played before, don't be shy — stop by, pick up a stick, and give us a try. Walk in and ask for Del, Larry, or any of the members who are playing. The 8-Ball Club is always looking for new members who would like to learn and play pool to join us. There is a calendar of our events in The Lodge Billiards Room on the 8-Ball Club bulletin board. If you have any questions, contact one of the officers: Captain Del Lyles, Sr. at (951) 267-1752 or Co-Captain Larry Rice at (951) 236- 1156. If no one answers, just leave a message and one of us will get back to you. ~ Larry Rice 8-Ball Club Wild Bunch Billiards Let's hope by the time you read this, the weather is below 100 degrees. If not, the Billiards Room is nice and cool, perfect for a game (or two) of pool. The "Wild Bunch" is in full swing, and looking forward to having those who are serious and competitive billiards players join us. We enjoy playing 8 Ball, Scotch Doubles, and 9 Ball. You don't have to be the best player, just a player who wants to improve their game in a more competitive setting. The "Wild Bunch" consists of some of the best players in the league, and we are always looking for great competition. Some of these players are Joe Spinella, Bob Rector, Mike Corbett, Paul Snyder, Mike Fisher, Scott Frymire, Dave Martin, Gary Condurucci, Verina Rector, Gracy Luna, just to name a few. If you want to play serious, competitive pool, we invite you to come by the Billiards Room on Fridays from 12:30 to 3:30 pm and join in the stimulation of competitive play. We invite Sun Lakes to join us, and they bring their best game for some exciting competition. Looking forward to seeing you! ~ Gracy Luna, gracyluna@aol. com, (951) 292-3624 Butch Bonot and Lee Bourdet Ron Erickson and Gary Condurachi
