In August Richard and Beverly Crowe
vacationed for 10 days on Cebolla Creek in
Southwest Colorado fly fishing for trout. They
have visited this venue for most of the last
30 summers. Their hosts, John and Bobbie
Martin, own a small ranch with a couple
of rental cabins at elevation 9200 feet. The
nearest town is Gunnison, an hour's drive
to the north. Richard usually catches the
most fish while Beverly usually catches the
biggest. Associated activities often include
riding horses, encounters with moose and
elk, photographing beautiful wildflowers, and
dodging daily summer rainstorms (the double
rainbow photo is actually a composite of three
photos, photoshopped by Lane Joel).
