QUILTERS
KNIT & CROCHET CLUB
A little over a year ago two of our quilters bought matching fabric at a quilt
show hoping to mix and match that fabric in a future quilt. Penny Quinn and
Claudette Rychecky each bought 10 different pieces (fat quarters) that featured
cute birds and other animals. Finally they got together to share the fabric and
chose how to showcase these cute critters. The pattern chosen was a shadow
pattern which looks like the blocks are kind of floating above their shadow.
They both pieced and quilted their quilts and had a great time doing it! It was
a fun project and turned out really great. Friends never let friends quilt alone!
Knit and Crochet are still doing our thing despite the
hot temps! One of our members is already contemplating
crochet of Xmas gnomes. Did you see Becky's Fourth
of July gnome in the hobby window? Shirley recently
completed a beautiful lavender shawl. Members Olive
and Carolyn (above) used a chenille yarn for the projects
shown. Guests are always welcome to come and visit and
see if our hobby fun is for you.
