6 | LIFE IN SOLERA | SEPTEMBER 2023 | Communications & Technology Advisory Committee (CTAC) Have you ever felt as though you don't know what's going on in Solera? Unsure how to go about finding information that's important to you? Solera has a number of avenues for you to stay informed! • Four televisions are located in the Clubhouse (near the kitchen, in the living room, in the fitness center) and in the Mail Room which broadcast community information and photos. Content varies by location. • Management sends eBlast emails every Friday and at other times as needed with important information about HOA activities and reminders. You need to enroll to receive these eBlasts. If you have and are not getting the emails, please check with the office to make sure they have the correct email address. • Management sends eBlast texts — to those who are enrolled – which contain urgent information regarding things such as gate closures/re-openings, event cancellations, etc. • Open Board meetings and Town Halls are a great way to get your ideas and concerns heard. If you cannot attend, you may send Management written notice of your desire to "Speak". • The SoleraOVG.com website has detailed information about all aspects of our community. CTAC is working on a new-and-improved website — a huge project — which we hope you will find refreshing and user-friendly. Need information, the "how to," to enroll in eBlasts, send a message to "Speak." Please see the "How To Speak" message box below. "Effective communication — a key ingredient in building trust and harmony." Open Session Board Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 2 pm. You are encouraged to attend these important meetings to find out what business is being conducted on your behalf and get updates on issues or activities in your community. At that time, you can also provide input on any topic as well as on selected agenda items (certain time restrictions apply). Agendas are posted in the Mail Room and on the www.SoleraOVG.com website four days prior to the meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, there are also other ways that you can participate, including the following: 1. For those signed up for the service, an eBlast is sent with a link to the upcoming Board Meeting agenda and a link to a form. This form allows Members to submit comments about agenda item(s) or other issues NOT on the agenda. This eBlast is sent four days prior to the meeting. (If you have not signed up for this service, sign up at www. SoleraOVG.com via the link "Sign Up for eBlast.") 2. The Message to Management feature on the Solera website can also be used for this purpose. 3. Of course, written comments can also be delivered to the Admin Office for consideration. Any messages provided will be considered for inclusion at the Board Meeting and, if appropriate, summarized in the meeting minutes. If you need clarification, contact the Administrative Office.
