| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2023 | 11 What marks your end of summer? is is a good question to ponder… Could it be that baseball is almost over? You know about the Boys of Summer. But, when this month's Herald is placed in your mailbox, there are still about 30+ games le in the Major League Baseball's regular season. Remember when football was always in the fall and marked the end of summer? Nowadays the NFL has preseason games during August and the regular season games overlap with baseball. ESPN College Game Day is holding true to football in the fall. eir first staging is on Sept. 2 in Charlotte featuring the Carolina schools (University of North Carolina and the University of South Carolina). I just saw what marks the end of summer … bus drivers practice driving the routes in the yellow school buses. When those yellow vehicles appear and school supplies commercials run many times on TV, everyone knows that school is about to start and that marks the end of summer for a lot folks. Yeah, except that school starts in mid-August for a lot of kids. Labor Day. Our age group remembers that weekend as being the definitive end of summer. I don't think that President Grover Cleveland realized he was marking a period between seasons when he selected the first Monday of September to celebrate American workers as being the end of summer. But even Labor Day Weekend is a slippery slope, because that weekend has evolved to four-days and five days of "last call" for vacation. Oh well, we at Four Seasons, as Sly and the Family Stone sang, had Hot Fun in the Summertime. We experienced a great celebration on the Fourth of July. We danced to some fun bands: Lifetime Rocker, Big Revenge, e Vibe, e Local Group and the Private Affair Band. It was "Hot Fun," but more to come in September. Don't let the heat beat you … turn it up … but stay cool! Before you know it, it will be anksgiving and Christmas. If you read the August Herald you know about the upcoming Piano Club Concert for Sept. 16. I don't think you want to miss this concert. You may occasionally have heard some melodies coming out of the Four Seasons lobby or the accompany music at the Vintage Voices concert. We have some very talented people in Four Seasons. Five pianists are providing the program for this concert. is is going to be a wonderful evening. Coming soon … Wednesday Bingo Night, First Friday Karaoke (Sept. 1), Second Sunday Brunch at the Bistro, Music on the Plaza (Sept. 19): My Generation (Classic Rock of the 60s & 70s), Four Seasons Twentieth Anniversary: Celebrating Community (Sept. 23), Open Session Board Meeting (Sept. 27), Bistro Special (fih Friday). Social Committee e Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is providing articles for the Hemet Herald quoting the Four Seasons Architectural Standards And Regulations for two months out of each annual quarter. In other months, articles will address current issues facing the Committee. is is the fourth article in this series and will complete the examination of the Architectural Review Committee authority as vested by the Community Conditions, Covenants and Restrictions (CC&Rs). e Architectural Review Committee (continued): Prior to the commencement of any addition, alteration or construction work, of any type on any Residential Lot, a Homeowner must first submit an application consisting of an Exhibit A form (Home Alteration Application) and an Exhibit B form (Neighbor Advisory), before photos, and desired alteration plans and samples of materials as appropriate to the alteration plans to the ARC.
