Bunco Babes It's the dog days of summer and we are enjoying our delightful game of Bunco. Yummy goodies were provided by Linda Haynes and Cathy Van Winkle. Helen Miller was the lucky most Bunco winner! We all had a great time enjoying the aernoon with friends, new and old. Bunco is a great way to get to know some of the fantastic ladies in our community, while playing a fun dice game with lots of laughs. Bunco Babes meet the fourth Friday of the month in the card room at 12:45 pm. We play until 3ish and have a break with goodies halfway between games. ere is limited seating (no walk-ins) so be sure to contact Lucille Gould at (909) 921-6067 to reserve your seat or notify if you can't attend. Please call by the Monday before game day to cancel. When new members call, Lucille will explain the rules and guidelines. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next Bunco on Sept. 22! Hand & Foot Calling all card players and especially Hand & Foot card players: are you a new resident and looking for an aernoon of fun? Come join us once a week. Even if you have never played the game, we can teach you quickly. Our group meets every Wednesday at 12:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room at e Lodge. ere is no fee. Come as you are. Mexican Train As part of the anniversary celebration on Sept. 23, many of the clubs will have members in the Card Room playing some of the games that are available for residents to participate in. I am happy to say that Mexican Train will have some members playing a game. So whether you are familiar with the game or not, we hope you will take a moment to stop by, meet some of the players and see what Mexican Train is all about. If you would like to join us on a Tuesday evening and it appears that all the tables are full, no need to worry; we'll just start another table. e more the merrier! Mexican Train is a fun game played with dominoes. It's very easy to learn and it's a great way to meet new people or reconnect with someone you haven't seen in a while. So, if you've never played Mexican Train, don't let that keep you away. We play on Tuesday evenings at 6 pm in e Lodge Multipurpose Room and would love to see more newcomers at the tables. Mah-Jongg Club e MahJongg Club invites you to join us and enjoy playing this game which dates back hundreds of years. If you are curious about the game, come and learn how to play! If you are an experienced player who is new to our community, please come and join our group. We play every Monday and ursday from 1 to 3 pm in the Multipurpose Room. If you want to learn how to play, we have written instructions, and someone is always available to teach you. You are welcome to come and observe anytime we are playing. We also have birthday luncheons, holiday parties and other get-togethers throughout the year.
