Your Board is up to speed and hard at work. Our goal is to provide entertainment that is funny, fun, meaningful, unusual, exciting, educational, and thought- provoking. On Oct. 2, at 7 pm, in Abravanel Hall, singer Francesca Amari, will join us. Francesca is a versatile singer/cabaret artist from Palm Springs, CA. Francesca performs regularly as a jazz/pop singer or with her "Cocktails & Cabaret" show. She has performed at top-rated cabaret clubs from New York to Hollywood and has earned rave reviews for her entertaining shows. Our doors open at 6:30 pm. On Nov. 6, at 7 pm, in Abravanel Hall, we are proud to present the San Diego Youth Symphony. e symphony offers student musicians of various skill levels the opportunity to demonstrate their proficiency for receptive audiences in a variety of locations throughout Southern California. ey are currently preparing to perform at Carnegie Hall next summer, and we anticipate having them join us again in the Spring, as well. e community is invited. Our doors open at 6:30 pm. Center Stage Productions, an Escondido student theater group, is working on another presentation for our group. Mark your calendars. We look forward to seeing you on the first Monday in October. Entrance to our Monday performances are open to the community, is free to members, with a $5 admission for non-members. Join eatre Arts now and enjoy the remainder of our Monday performances for free through 2024. Renewals and new memberships are $12 through 2023 ($15 in 2024, if you wait to renew or join). Our next regular Board meeting will be held Oct. 18, at 11 am, in a room to be assigned. Regular Board meetings are on the third Wednesday of the month at 11 am, and are open to all eatre Arts members, so please do come and join us. Join eatre Arts so you can participate in all of our entertainment and activities. Our annual dues are currently $12. Make your check payable to "OH eatre Arts" and bring it to the front desk. Include your name, address, email, and phone number on the check. Don't forget to check out our website: http://www.ohccdg. wixsite.com/theatrearts. ~ Naomi B Katz OHSPA e OHSPA Board is delighted that our final show for the year, e Jersey Tenors, will be presented on Sat., Nov. 4, at 7:30 pm. e Jersey Tenors create an explosive blend of iconic Opera classics alongside Rock 'N Roll greats like Queen, Elton John, and Bon Jovi. ey also pay tribute to some of Jersey's finest like Frankie Valli and e Four Seasons, Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen, and Whitney Houston! Tickets will go on sale on Tues., Oct. 3, in Abravanel Hall at 7:30 am. Each ticket is $30, and each resident may purchase two tickets. Tickets will also be on sale at the Concierge Desk on Tues., Oct. 3, through Fri., Oct. 6, from 10 am to 2 pm, when residents may then purchase as many tickets as they want. Tickets may also be purchased from the staff at the Clubhouse front desk. OHSPA wants to thank our Star Donors for their on-going support. Information about how to renew a membership for 2024 will be included in the envelope that will be sent to Star Donors with the ticket(s) to the November show. For those who may wish to become a Star Donor, information will be in the show program. Our first show for 2024 will be e Bachelors of Broadway on Sat., Feb. 24, at 7:30 pm. Additional details will be provided in future OHCC Newsletter issues; however, please save the date! We hope you will join us for these exciting professional shows.
