GOLDIE MEIJER GOLDIE MEIJER "Get the Joke" is a simple contest… somewhere in this issue is a "joke" ad, article, or other notice. You'll know it when you see it — it will be silly, over-the-top ridiculous, or just plain goofy — and hopefully it will bring a smile to your face. When you find it, email your response to FourSeasonsNews@yahoo.com. Or you can cut out and complete the box below and take it to The Lodge front desk. One correct entry will be chosen at random to win a $20 gift card to the Bistro. Please get your entry in no later than the eighth of the month. Thanks! LAST MONTH'S JOKE YOUR COMMENTS Love the cover photo of the Space X launch. Keep those great photos coming. Linda K. Fiy percent of homeowners have food-shaped cars? Really??? Linda C. I'm hungry! I try not to eat while I drive but I may have to break my rule when I hop into my foodie mobile. Somebody must have stayed up very late to think of this. Very clever. Shelley M. Love the reference to Cary Grant's original name! Mikelyn B. FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2023 69 Last month we published the survey of those in our community who have cars shaped like food — over 50 percent of all households are proud owners of cars shaped like food. As you know, many have fruit and vegetable themed vehicles; Carmen Murr's banana car comes to mind (photo below). This month we're featuring three foods that aren't in that ever-popular food group. If you have a car that is shaped like food, or are in the market for a car shaped like food, please join us every Monday morning at 9 am in the parking lot for a brief meeting followed by a picnic. Our group has blossomed this summer to over 1,550 very dedicated members. We take our hobby seriously and have four parades each year. We also do two cross-country trips each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. Our motto: Who has more fun than people who drive cars shaped like food? No one! See you soon! ~ Archibald Alexander Leach (909) 797-3647 Cars Shaped Like Food Group
