30 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | OCTOBER 2023 | e Ladies Club had an especially delightful August with not one, but two fun activities that month. First was an excursion to the Edward-Dean Museum and Gardens in Cherry Valley on urs., Aug. 17. e museum was once a private home on 16 acres developed by antique dealers Edward Eberle and Dean Stout. ey opened their house and grounds to the public in 1958, offering them a peek into their collection of 16th-19th century decorative art pieces. When we were there, there was also a temporary exhibit called "Perspectives," a quirky series of interactive displays that challenged the mind to see things from a different, and usually hilarious, point of view. Aer touring the museum, we headed over to Flo's Country Café, in the town of Cherry Valley, for lunch. On Aug. 28, our usual meeting day was given over to an Ice Cream Sundae Social and Game Day. About 35 of us congregated in the Ballroom to build our own sundaes, complete with a choice of syrups (you could pick more than one), whipped cream, and various toppings. Aerward, we played light-hearted games, including Stuck in the Mud; Le, Center, Right; and Headbands. Lots of laughter that day! By the time you read this, we will have trooped down to Temecula for its annual ArtFest, starting with lunch at Rosa's Cantina. (Do you see a pattern here?) Four Seasons will have celebrated the community's 20th anniversary. e Ladies Club, along with a number of other organizations, set up a table there. Hope you stopped by!
