We faced warm temperatures but another day of breezes of 3-5mph to keep us cool (well comfortable at least)… Congrates to all the players for a fun aernoon on the links as well as to the winners of the competition. If you have an interest in this golf event and wish to join in, give me a call or drop me an email at dmurph44@verizon. net and I will send you a 2023 tournament schedule (first ursday aernoon of the month), rules of the game and will include you in our active mailing list. Our next contest is set for ursday, Oct.5. Requirements for this event are to be able to grasp a club! Being a member of the Men's or Women's Golf Club is not required. We will be teeing off at 8 am starting this month and going through December. I can't believe how quickly this year has flown by. Our September golf luncheon was held in the Lounge due to the Auditorium still being under construction. We celebrated the 80th birthday of our Vice President, Donna MacLagan (photo at right). Our annual charity tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 3, with a Scramble Format for members and special guests. We look forward to another successful event donating to our two charities, Michelle's Place and Hospice of the Valleys, with all monies going to both charities. Aer the tournament, there will be a luncheon with a bar and a 50/50 drawing. Winners of the golf scramble will receive golf balls. Representatives from both Michelle's Place and Hospice of the Valleys will join us for lunch and give a talk about their charities. We always look forward to donating to each of these worthwhile organizations. Ladies Golf is planning to have a Scramble tournament with the Men's Golf Club. at should be a lot of fun!
