10 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2023 | Name: ____________________________________________________________________________________ Address: ___________________________________________________________________________________ Phone: ____________________________________________________________________________________ FREE SUNDAY BRUNCH FOR TWO at the Bistro at Four Seasons Not valid on holidays or special events. Limit ONE ENTRY per residence per month Walter Scott said, "For success, attitude is equally important as ability". Guess who had both on Sept. 23? Congratulations to all that participated and enjoyed our 20 year celebration! I will start off by saying what an outright, blooming success the Four Seasons 20 year anniversary event turned out to be! I know we have just about everything anyone could ask for here but when I actually saw members of so many clubs and organizations assembled together shining with prideā€¦ it was pretty darn outstanding. We, the Bistro committee, stopped handing out chicken-on-a stick with mandarin sauce somewhere around three o'clock. Many of you have requested it to be served as a meal, so watch your E-Blast for it as a special some night soon. It will be three larger pieces of chicken on a bed of rice with dipping mandarin sauce. It's time for us to get our lost hour back this month which means, more time to think about Thanksgiving while turning all the clocks back. I am so done with plopping that defeathered hen or tom in the oven, then being teased for several hours with the aroma which compels me to overeat. Then there's the anti-climatic duty of packaging up and shoving all those unwanted left overs in the refrigerator. Once again Francisco will save me and all of you with his delicious Thanksgiving Day meal, our choice of two different sittings, either noon or 2 pm. Because of high winds in the past, Edison said they had to turn our power off; let's hope we get the new grid that will work better for us this year. If the outage happens again, our resourceful chef Francisco will be able to manage very well without it as he has in past years. I will still hope for electricity the whole day, I admit it, I'm spoiled and I like it when I arrive home and the garage door goes up because the electric garage door opener is able to function as I expect it to! Each month I close this article by announcing the winners from the monthly drawing which is held at the Board of Directors meeting on the fourth Wednesday of most months. So here it is, the lucky September ticket was pulled by Dave Tuvim and our congratulations go out to Fred & Sharon Weissmann (at left) for winning the "Free Brunch for Two" certificate. Enjoy! That's me, Patt double "T" Bistro Committee
