| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2023 | 31 Happy Thanksgiving to our wonderful Four Seasons community! A time for giving and certainly a time to be thankful. Seasons Quilters had a great time participating in the 20th Anniversary Celebration. Congratulations to all of our raffle winners, and especially to Alison Wieman, who won the only quilt we were giving away. Carefully and thoughtfully handmade by Linda Piraino, this memorable quilt of Linda's dogs hung in her home for years. Wanting to gift it to someone in our community on such a special occasion was heartfelt for both giver and receiver. Many of our members displayed their talents, and enjoyed visiting with everyone who stopped by to see what we are all about. We continue to become aware of "secret quilters" hidden within our community. The Anniversary event not only introduced them to us, but started creative juices flowing. One main theme was shared, "I'm only a beginner, and these quilts are way more advanced than anything I've done." NEWS FLASH: You do not need to be 'skilled' at this hobby; just passionate about your talent and wanting to share in quality sewing space. We all learn from each other, and truly appreciate that we are not all at the same level. Seasons Quilters meets every Thursday, (except the fourth Thursday) in the Arts & Crafts Room from 10 am to 4 pm. November Club meetings will be Nov. 2, 9, 16 and 30. We break for lunch at the Bistro, at 12:30 pm, returning to continue sewing and visiting until 4 pm. Curiosity seekers are always welcome, and of course new members are actively encouraged! For more information about quilting, activities, fun projects and forming forever friendships through this wonderful hobby of quilting, stop by the Arts & Crafts Room and see what's sewing! We would love to meet you. All residents are welcome to meetings and excursions. For more information, please contact Diane Best at (951) 816- 0449, dianequilts@verizon.net or Sharon Deuber at (760) 500-0077, YouDeserveIt@twc.com. Quilted by Janet Graham Quilted by Linda Piraino.
