28 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2023 | Bocce has a sign up date scheduled for Sun., Feb. 4, 2024 at 2 pm in The Lodge Ballroom. This would be a good time to think about your team for the 2024 season and mark this date on your calendar. Most players that play Bocce love the game and enjoy being out on our Bocce Courts and always look forward meeting neighbors and friends and a little friendly competition. The Bocce Club will structure our activity fee to be more reasonable and limit our celebration to only one BBQ to celebrate our winners. This change will possibly encourage more players to turn out and play. Again we will have to hope for good weather and not so much rain to get the season started. Please pass this information on to your players and I look forward getting Bocce started for the 2024 year. ~ Ross Brunetto, Bocce Chairperson, (951) 926-8295 Bocce Our league plays Wednesdays as usual in the morning and afternoon. New players are always welcome. Contact Beth at bflana603@gmail.com or (858) 334-9779. Cornhole What an exciting month we have had. First, we celebrated the 20 year anniversary for our community. We manned a table and even had a shuffleboard demonstration and invited residents to come join us on Monday mornings at 9 am. Thank you to Dave Scott, Bob Fussell, John O'Connor and Vince Russo who showed off their shuffleboard skills. Thank you also to Maggie Fussell and Ed Rodriguez who helped me man our table. We had a drawing for gift cards and our winners were Cathy Schwartzar a $25 gift card to Sizzler and Cheryl Dewberry a $25 gift certificate to our own Bistro. Enjoy ladies. On Sept. 28 we had our yearly barbecue on the Plaza. We had a fun evening and made some new friends. Thank you to our cooks Dave Scott, Bob Fussell and John O'Connor. A thank you goes out to the ladies who helped me with serving, Bobbie Davis, Maggie Fussell and Marie White and Barbara Scott who took pictures. Everything went so smoothly. A good time was had by all. Remember we still play on Monday mornings at 9 am; note the new starting time. As always, you can play on your own just stop by The Lodge and they will explain the procedure. May you have a blessed Thanksgiving. ~ Toni Harris, Chair (951) 325-8357 Shuffleboard We have a few people interested in playing horseshoes. There is a horseshoe league that plays on Wednesday mornings at 8 am at different locations around Hemet. We practice Saturdays at 8 am. Horseshoes
