FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2023 17
It's that time of year again. Besides cooler weather and pumpkin
time, the Hemet OLDlympics rolls around every year in September
and October, and has for the past 38 years. It's the time of year to
test your devoted daily workout results and add some competition to
your athletic skills … plus it's all for seniors, of course. The photo is
an indicator of Four Seasons residents who participated in the 2023
Oldlympics this year (except for a few that missed the awards banquet
and this photo shoot). Doesn't this pique your interest? Check out the
various areas of skill-testing: shuffleboard, table tennis, tournament
blackjack, swimming, golf (9 or 18 holes), pinochle, scrabble,
pickleball, chair volleyball, tennis, bingo, billiards, bench press,
bowling, Texas hold 'em and myriad track and field events. Most of
these events are divided into mens, womens, and age groups which
are 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, and 90-94.
Now that you're super interested, and are already on board and
want to know where and when to register, here's more data for you to
consider: our very own "Olympians," some of whom are in the photo
above, are very proud of their incredible medal winnings. Gold = G,
Silver = S, and Bronze = B.

Perry White (1G, 1B); Sally White (2S, 1B).
Better yet – some of these people are more than likely your friends
or neighbors. Ask them how much fun it was.
So start training now for 2024. Feel free to call Valley-Wide
Recreation and Park District, 901 Esplanade (P.O. Box 907), San
Jacinto, CA 92581, (951) 654-1505, whose awesome employees plan
