FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2023 31 Finance Committee During the Finance Committee's regular monthly meeting, the financial statements for August 2023 were reviewed and recommended for Board approval. In addition, the Committee reviewed expenditure proposals, and reviewed investment recommendations to move maturing investments to higher yield FDIC insured instruments. Highlights of the April financial statements are: Total Cash is $12,446,681 including operating cash of $2,291,823 (checking and CDs) and reserve assets of $10,154,858. Our total year-to-date income is $148,272. Homeowners are welcome to join us at the Finance Committee's regularly scheduled monthly meetings held on the last Tuesday of each month. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 1 pm. The Finance Committee reviews and discusses many issues that you may have questions about, and we welcome those questions. I would encourage all residents to become more familiar with the finances of our fantastic community, especially at this time of year when we are working on the budget for 2024. We would love to hear about your concerns and encourage you to share them with us. Attending a meeting only takes a little time and will give you a better understanding of how we operate. Come and join us in making this a thriving, vibrant community. Our meetings are held in the RCN Conference Room. We have no events this month as we are getting ready for our biggest event of the year — our New Year's Eve Party on Dec. 31. This year's theme is the Roaring 20s. Tickets go on sale Nov. 20 at 9 am in the Ballroom. Tickets are $75 per person and are non-refundable. It will be assigned seating. There's no place you can go for only $75 on New Year's Eve and tickets are expected to sell out. If any tickets remain, they'll be available to non-residents two weeks before the event. In addition to party favors, games, door prizes, five raffle baskets (be sure to bring extra cash to help with our fundraising efforts), there will be a contest for the best Roaring 20s outfit. Doors will open at 6:15 pm and champagne and appetizers will be served until dinner, which starts at 7 pm. Bring your favorite beverage. Ann Taylor will cater again this year. We'll also have a free photo booth with 1920s props. Tony Zambrana is our DJ and master of ceremonies. So put on your flapper dresses and pinstripe threads and help us ring in the new year; it's going to be the cat's pajamas! This is my last year leading the Social Committee so I look forward to sharing this night with you. I've had a great three years entertaining you. Thank you for all your support and for helping Social Committee be a huge success this year. ~ Loretta Ramsey, lorettaramsey@aol. com, (714) 803-6744 Our Savior's Lutheran — ELCA Sunday Worship 9 am also on Facebook Live Sunday & Weekly Bible Studies 1320 W.
