66 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2023 On a more somber note, the Club said farewell to a long term, skilled and beloved member, Robert "Big Bob" Manuel (photo at right). Bob passed away in September. Many members attended his memorial services. "Big Bob," we will miss you. The Dominoes Club plays every Wednesday and Friday from 6 until 9 pm in the Game Room. We welcome more players, whether new to the game or experienced, to come out and join us for an enjoyable time "slamming bones." Novice players are encouraged to come out from 5 to 6 pm, on Wednesday and Friday, to learn the game. For more information, contact Reggie at (951) 743- 3594 or Jesse at (951) 769-2035. ~ Roxanne Williams Hearts Pinochle for Fun Whether you are a new or an experienced player, we will help you enjoy the game. We meet in the RCN Room 1 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am to noon. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact either Karen Farmer at (951) 313-6149 or Floyd Reid at (951) 317-3127. ~ Karen Farmer We play Hearts every Tuesday at 6 pm in The Lodge Game Room. We welcome new players. If you don't know how to play, we'll be happy to teach you. Seating is done by random card draw. Try your luck at getting all the hearts plus the queen of spades. That takes 26 points off of your score, or if you choose, adds 26 points to all the other players at the table. The jack of diamonds takes 10 points off of your score. Lowest score wins. It is lots of fun and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday evenings. ~ Lynette Smilac, smilac1954@gmail.com Phase 10 We hope to see more fun-loving card players join us in The Lodge Game Room on Tuesdays, Nov. 14 and 28 from 2 to 4 pm. There have been the usual 'faithfuls' but we would love to see more join us to play this fun game. Snacks are provided. The goal is to complete the 10 phases that are established for the game one round at a time. These phases include 'sets' of cards (all the same number) and 'runs' (cards in a sequence). There are also Wild cards and Skip cards during play. Thank you for your support. Lynette Smilac will fill in for me if needed. If you have any questions, please contact Marianne Bugni at (920) 517-2739 or email lamarib77@gmail.com. ~ Marianne Bugni Dominoes Bridge For Fun If you are thinking of new activities and have a basic knowledge of how to play the game of Bridge, come join us on Wednesdays from 12 until 3:30 pm in The Lodge Game Room. We are a fun and easy-going group; come play with us. For more information, contact Verona Rector at (951) 769-1687. ~ Lois L. Butler In a stunning upset, at the conclusion of the monthly final competitive play, LeRoy Wright (photo at left) emerged as the Dominoes champion for September. LeRoy demonstrated his experience and mastery of the game over three other elite players during an evening of skill, suspense, and fun! He has won monthly championships in the past, but not recently. Congratulations, LeRoy, the Dominoes champion for September.
