40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2023 Tails & Trails - All Pets Annual Four Seasons "Walk For e Animals" Nov. 4 Our residents love animals. Whether it's the wildlife roaming the hills and trails here, or if it's the nearly 1,000 pet owners with little four-footed sweeties snuggling next to your feet. To celebrate the love so many of us share for our fur babies, Tails & Trails is excited to announce the annual "Walk for the Animals." Registration is $30 and benefits the Ramona Humane Society. Last year's event was attended by close to 200 pet lovers in our community and their dogs and raised over $5,000 for our animal shelter! This year, the walk begins at 9 am on Saturday, Nov. 4 outside The Lodge. Prior to kicking off the Walk, those who have registered to attend will receive the popular "Walk for the Animals'' t-shirt and enjoy coffee and snacks provided by Farmer Boys. Walkers and their pets will head east around Four Seasons Circle, up Green Creek, ending back at The Lodge to enjoy music and line dancing with DJ Dave Rohrbacker and our resident line-dancing instructor Janine Rohrbacker. Registration comes with one entry to win one of dozens of incredible raffle items. Attendees are encouraged to bring cash to purchase additional entries and other cool items. Last year's raffle prizes included overnight stays at Soboba Casino, gift dinners to local restaurants, and dozens of baskets filled with prizes from wine to movie tickets. This year's raffle prizes promise to be even better. Ramona Humane Society is the animal shelter used by the city of Beaumont, and since we are such an animal-friendly community, we know you'll agree there is no better recipient of our support than our local shelter. You can register at the event or save time by registering online at: http://rebrand.ly/ walkfortheanimals2023. ~ Wayne Disher and Vivian Walker vivr@sbcglobal.net Our October Cars & Coffee meeting did not have a large number of attendees as the community garage sale was the same day. The car nuts who did show up enjoyed beautiful weather and great conversation with other car enthusiasts. Craig and Susan Weber made it with their absolutely beautiful 1968 Meridian Blue Pontiac Firebird (above left). According to Susan, the Firebird was purchased new by her mother in 1968, and has been in the family since. Anthony "Babalu" Zamora arrived in his 1956 Chevy four-door sedan (above right). Anthony is a very proud Vietnam Veteran who has owned his Chevy since 2004. Reminder: The Four Seasons Veterans Car Show will be on Veterans Day, Saturday, Nov. 11. If you wish to enter your car, truck, or motorcycle, please complete the entry form available at The Lodge and return with the $30 registration fee no later than Oct. 31 to The Lodge front desk. Staging will begin at 7 am. There will be food from The Bistro, music, and announcements by D.J. Dave Rohrbacker, and raffles throughout the show. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for each vehicle class. There will also be a special Ladies Choice Award for Best of Show. So ladies come out and vote for your favorite vehicle. Spectators are encouraged to come and view the amazing display. Cars & Coffee meets the first Saturday of each and every month at 9 am at The Lodge parking lot. Our next meeting is Nov. 4. Please join us for coffee, donuts, and great conversation with fellow car nuts.
